Deputy General Counsel
Job Summary
Reporting remotely and full-time to the Chief Legal and Privacy Officer, the Deputy General Counsel will manage commercial contracts, advise on privacy and data protection, and support employment matters while building and mentoring the legal team.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements while collaborating with business teams to align legal and business objectives
- Provide guidance on privacy compliance and data governance, particularly regarding advertising regulations and AI-related legal considerations
- Serve as a legal resource for HR on employment issues and assist in managing legal risks related to corporate governance and strategic transactions
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
- Significant in-house legal experience as a generalist across multiple disciplines, including commercial contracts, privacy, and employment law
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage diverse legal challenges
- Strong ethical standards and discretion in handling sensitive legal matters
- Interest in the evolving landscape of privacy law and the ad tech industry
