Deputy General Counsel, Business Development

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Deputy General Counsel for Business Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the drafting and negotiation of partnership and strategic initiative agreements
• Provide legal counsel to the Business Development team on various agreements and opportunities
• Identify and mitigate legal and business risks through contract drafting and practical counseling

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and an active bar license in at least one U.S. state
• 7+ years of commercial contracting experience in-house or at a reputable law firm
• 5+ years of insurance regulatory experience in-house or at a reputable law firm
• Expertise in property and casualty insurance and advising insurance entities
• Proven ability to deliver strategic legal advice under pressure and influence senior leaders
