Deputy Principal Investigator

Job Summary

Leading complex research coordination initiatives, the full-time remote Deputy Principal Investigator will collaborate with the Principal Investigator to manage a large coordination center, engage with key stakeholders, and drive innovative data and process strategies in biomedical research.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Principal Investigator to execute the strategic vision and provide overall leadership
• Act on behalf of the Principal Investigator when delegated, ensuring continuity of leadership
• Oversee project budgets, staffing, and deliverables, while monitoring subcontractor performance to meet program goals

Required qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent) in a relevant field such as biomedical sciences or translational research
• 5+ years of experience managing an interdisciplinary team of 5 or more
• Documented expertise in translational science/research and team science
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with government and academic stakeholders
• Passion for and expertise in generative AI
