Design Apprentice

Job Summary

Offering a part-time, remote opportunity, the Design Apprentice will gain hands-on experience in book cover design, working 15 hours per week across multiple imprints while managing design projects and collaborating with Art Directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and design multiple front covers and mechanicals
• Assist with book cover design, repackaging, and other creative projects as assigned
• Support and collaborate with Art Directors on research, layouts, and presentations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in design or related fields
• Proficiency with the MAC environment and Adobe Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
• Strong layout and typography skills
• Passionate about book design and the publishing industry
• Highly organized, flexible, and detail-oriented with strong time management abilities
