Design Automation Engineer

Job Summary

To support ongoing projects, the contract Design Automation Engineer will develop test structure layouts using design automation tools, create manual layout cells, and collaborate with engineers and technicians in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop test structure layouts and manual layout cells using the Cadence Virtuoso Design Environment
• Create parameterized cells (p-cells) for layout automation and ensure compliance with design rules
• Debug layout and automation issues while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality design solutions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor physical layout and design automation
• Strong experience with the Cadence Virtuoso layout design tool (3+ years)
• Experience with Cadence SKILL programming language (2+ years)
• Solid understanding of physical layout concepts and semiconductor manufacturing processes
