Design Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Design Director to lead design work across various projects, focusing on community-centered experiences and participatory design processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for the Living Infrastructure Field Kit and ensure community-centered approaches
• Manage and develop a design team while coordinating with specialist contractors across various disciplines
• Present design strategies to stakeholders and measure design impact to support human and ecological wellbeing

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in UX, product, and/or experience design in complex systems
• 3+ years of demonstrated strategic thinking and team development experience
• Experience with participatory design methods and cross-functional collaboration
• Proven ability to create accessible interfaces for diverse human abilities and contexts
• Strong project management skills, including defining scopes, timelines, and budgets
