Design Engineer

Job Summary

To support the design and optimization of large-scale solar projects, the remote Design Engineer will create detailed PV power plant designs, coordinate engineering packages, and assist in construction administration throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural designs for solar arrays
• Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to define project design basis and goals
• Document and develop industry best practices, standards, and guidelines for the engineering department

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture
• Minimum of 3 years of project engineering experience in design/build, EPC, or utility electricity generation
• Strong skills in AutoCAD; SolidWorks experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of electrical and civil design, as well as construction and electrical codes
• Experience in the solar PV industry or other power generation sectors, including utility-scale permitting and construction documents
