Design Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Design Engineer, the successful candidate will own the visual and interaction quality of Centralize's product, designing and shipping components directly from code while collaborating closely with founders and product engineers.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the look, feel, and motion of the product, including components and interaction patterns
• Prototype, design, and ship in code, bypassing traditional design handoffs
• Establish and evolve the design system to ensure scalability and high visual standards

Required qualifications:

• A strong portfolio showcasing product surfaces, interactions, and details shipped
• Fluency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS
• Expertise in motion and interaction design with a keen visual taste
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and make design decisions
• Excellent English communication skills for explaining and defending design choices
