Design Engineer - Electrical

Job Summary

Supporting power system studies in the renewable energy sector, the full-time remote Design Engineer - Electrical will perform system analysis, utilize engineering software, and deliver technical support for wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct system studies including short circuit, load flow, and transient analysis using relevant software tools
• Provide high-quality technical support to generator owners across various renewable energy projects
• Leverage Python scripting to enhance the efficiency and scalability of study processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience, with at least 1 year in power systems
• Familiarity with software such as EasyPower, ETAP, PSSE, and/or PSCAD
• Experience with Python programming is preferred
• EIT status or progress towards EIT status
