Design Engineer I

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Design Engineer I to contribute to the design and documentation of renewable energy systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering design drawings, details, and calculations for renewable energy and substation projects
• Develop and revise CAD drawings and design documents for solar and BESS systems
• Participate in internal design reviews and maintain organized project files

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, civil, structural, architectural, or related engineering discipline or relevant associate's degree plus 4+ years of applicable experience
• Some experience designing and drafting with AutoCAD or similar tools
• Foundational understanding of renewable energy system components and design fundamentals
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred
• Experience with PV or BESS design projects is a plus
