Design Engineer II

Job Summary

Working full-time, the Design Engineer II will manage network design assignments and circuit design activities, ensuring effective communication with internal teams and meeting performance targets in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee design planning, record creation, and order fulfillment for Zayo's products, focusing on growth products
• Collaborate with Service Activation and Field Technicians to resolve issues during pre-build and customer turn-up activities
• Review orders for technical correctness and maintain customer commitments and deadlines in the database

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum of three years of telecommunications and/or data networking experience, with two years in design engineering preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of data networking and telecommunications, including bandwidth and services
• Working knowledge of routers and data hardware
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google programs, and project management software
