Design Manager

Job Summary

Leading a talented team in the Engineering and Design department, the full-time Design Manager will oversee technical detailing of mass timber projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design standards while collaborating cross-functionally to streamline project workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage a high-performing design team, assigning workloads and driving internal training
• Oversee the technical execution of mass timber detailing and ensure compliance with design standards
• Develop and enforce quality control measures and implement advanced technologies to enhance project delivery

Required qualifications

• 2-year Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in mass timber building and manufacturing drafting
• Proficient in 3D and 2D CadWork production software
• Experience with BIM software such as Revit, Rhino, or Navisworks
• Strong understanding of building construction and mass timber manufacturing
