Design Operations Manager

Job Summary

To support a global retail brand's Brand Environments team, the freelance Design Operations Manager will manage design workstreams, develop project plans, and ensure efficient execution of seasonal initiatives while working remotely for 20-25 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple design workstreams and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestone tracking
• Collaborate with design leadership and external partners to support concept development and production readiness
• Coordinate cross-functional communication and ensure alignment across creative, operations, and marketing teams

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in design operations, project management, or related fields
• Strong program or project management experience within a creative environment
• Experience managing projects involving physical spaces or retail environments
• Understanding of design development processes, including fabrication and execution
• Bachelor's degree preferred
