Design Operations Manager

Job Summary

Leading systems operations and AI tooling strategy, the full-time Design Operations Manager will manage program planning, governance, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance Yahoo's design systems and AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive operational planning, resource allocation, and milestone tracking for Yahoo's design system and related initiatives
• Own the operational strategy and rollout of AI tooling, including roadmap management and adoption tracking
• Establish governance for shared design platforms, managing licensing, budgets, and compliance across the tooling ecosystem

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Design Operations, Program Management, or Strategic Operations within a design-led organization
• Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional programs involving Design, Engineering, and Product stakeholders
• Strong understanding of design systems and governance models in large-scale product organizations
• Proven experience in evaluating and implementing AI-powered tools and workflows
• Excellent program management skills with a focus on driving initiatives from strategy through execution
