Design Quality Engineer
Job Summary
Acting as a critical quality gate, the full-time remote Design Quality Engineer will review complex 3D models and engineering documentation to ensure deliverables meet contractual and program requirements while coordinating with internal teams and external customers.
Key responsibilities
- Review complex 3D models and 2D drawings for rotorcraft design in static and dynamic environments
- Evaluate engineering documentation, including bills of materials and technical evaluations
- Maintain synchronization across engineering disciplines and operate within project schedules
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline
- 10-15 years of engineering design, design checking, or quality assurance experience with a strong CAD focus
- Proficient user of CATIA v5/v6/3DX modeling software
- In-depth knowledge of ANSI/ASME Y14.1 design and drafting standards
- Ability to generate and interpret Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) schemes per ASME Y14.5
