Design System Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the design system's component library in code, the remote Design System Engineer will build and maintain the tokens-to-code pipeline, implement theming layers, and produce structured documentation to ensure usability across teams from 07/13/2026 to 12/31/2026.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain the tokens-to-code pipeline for seamless design token integration
• Publish the component library with versioning and release management for reliable access
• Collaborate with senior designers to ensure design intent is preserved in the implementation

Required qualifications

• Strong front-end engineering background with hands-on design system implementation experience
• Proven experience in building and publishing a component library, including versioning workflows
• Hands-on experience with a tokens-to-code pipeline (e.g., Style Dictionary, Tokens Studio)
• Familiarity with Material 3 or a comparable component framework and theming
• Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and semantic markup
