Design System Technical Architect

Job Summary

To support a critical enterprise initiative, the remote contract Design System Technical Architect will lead the technical execution of a large-scale design system segmentation, ensuring design-to-code alignment and maintaining design token architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical execution of the enterprise design system segmentation initiative
• Audit component libraries and validate design token architecture across Figma and engineering implementations
• Collaborate with UX designers and frontend engineering teams to ensure seamless migration and integration of design systems

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with enterprise Design Systems
• Proven experience managing large-scale component libraries in Figma
• Deep understanding of Design Tokens, Semantic Tokens, and Component Architecture
• Experience working directly with frontend engineers on design-to-code workflows
• Strong understanding of JSON token structures and token management frameworks
