Design Systems Team Lead

Job Summary

Leading the design vision and strategy, the remote Design Systems Team Lead will manage the design system's quality and evolution, mentor designers, and collaborate with engineering and product teams in a full-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Set quality standards for component design and documentation while leading by example as an individual contributor
• Drive consistency and accessibility across all design deliverables and define a long-term design roadmap
• Build a culture of system literacy through workshops, onboarding, and ongoing coaching

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Demonstrated experience leading a design team at an enterprise scale
• Strong portfolio showcasing visual quality and detailed documentation
• Expertise in Figma and advanced design system frameworks
• Proven ability to navigate competing stakeholders and build buy-in in complex environments
