Design Technician I

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Design Technician I for Electric Utility Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems for overhead and underground utility projects, including detailed construction drawings and bills of materials
• Provide supporting documentation such as pole force loading calculations and permitting requirements
• Support pre-construction activities by answering job site and design-related questions

Required Qualifications:

• Entry-level experience (0-2 years) in a design engineering role
• Proficiency in drafting/design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) and Microsoft Office
• Associate's degree in a technical related field is preferred
• Motivated and eager to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Familiarity with electrical distribution systems and concepts is a plus
