Designer

Job Summary

Supporting the Engineering and Design department, the full-time Designer will manage 3D modeling, prepare detailed drawings, and coordinate project-specific design information for mass timber projects, with the option for remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage design and drafting responsibilities for assigned projects, including 3D model preparation and BIM coordination
• Lead project review meetings with customers and internal teams while organizing project-specific design folders
• Support the education and training of detailers and 3D modelers, ensuring adherence to drafting standards

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering with a Structural Emphasis preferred
• Experience with wood design, construction methodology, and detailing
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and FEA software
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong teamwork skills
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects efficiently
