Designer and Senior Designer

Job Summary

Seeking two skilled and motivated individuals, the remote full-time Designer and Senior Designer will manage the design of young adult book covers from concept through final art, collaborating with art directors and editors while ensuring high-quality, innovative designs.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with art directors, publishers, and editors to develop covers and support overall publishing programs
• Design and prepare print-ready PDFs for assigned titles, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines
• Research and present appropriate samples, while art directing illustrators and photographers throughout the design process

Required qualifications:

• 4+ years in a publishing or editorial design role
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite's InDesign and Photoshop, with basic understanding of Illustrator and Acrobat
• Portfolio showcasing inventive book cover design and typography
• Experience with pre-press and printing processes
• Deep interest in young adult literature
