Desktop Development Manager
Job Summary
Leading a team of engineers, the full-time salaried Desktop Development Manager will oversee the development of established practice management software, ensuring predictable delivery and high code quality while managing a distributed organization across multiple countries.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow desktop development teams, including performance management and onboarding
- Own predictable delivery across multiple product release trains, ensuring alignment between commitments and actual delivery
- Partner with Quality Assurance and Product Management on test strategies, compliance, and release readiness
Required qualifications
- Proven experience managing software development teams, including remote and distributed engineers
- Technical fluency in C++, Visual Basic, C# / .NET, or similar Windows desktop technologies
- Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with Azure DevOps or equivalent work-tracking platforms
- Familiarity with continuous integration processes and shipping desktop software
