Job Summary
Leading the development teams for established practice management products, the full-time remote Desktop Development Manager will oversee predictable delivery, code quality, and the growth of engineers while collaborating with various departments to enhance software used by dental practices.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop desktop development teams through management, performance conversations, and effective hiring
- Own predictable delivery across multiple product release trains, ensuring accountability and transparency in outcomes
- Partner with Quality Assurance and Product Management to enhance test strategies, manage technical debt, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Required qualifications
- Proven experience managing software development teams, including remote and distributed engineers
- Technical proficiency in C++, Visual Basic, C# / .NET, or similar Windows desktop technologies
- Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with Azure DevOps or equivalent work-tracking platforms
- Familiarity with continuous integration processes and shipping desktop software
