Detection Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Detection Engineer (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and optimize current product detections to meet performance standards
• Manage and reduce false positive detections
• Analyze binary files for legitimacy and address internal inquiries on threat detections

Required Qualifications

• Understanding of various malware types and functionality
• Experience in reverse engineering malware, detection engineering, or threat hunting
• Proficiency in programming and scripting, especially Python
• Knowledge of binary file attributes and analytical methods
• Familiarity with at least one major operating system or public cloud provider
