Detection Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Detection Engineer to manage the detection lifecycle and enhance security operations through automation and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-fidelity detection logic and automated workflows
• Serve as a hands-on incident responder and lead complex investigations
• Collaborate with teams to validate detection and response effectiveness and improve security posture

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Five years of experience in detection engineering or related security operations roles
• Proven experience with SIEM platforms and writing detection rules
• Hands-on experience with SOAR platforms and AI-assisted development tools
• Experience with AWS security offerings and incident response leadership
