Detection Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Detection Engineer to manage high-volume detection tasks ensuring dataset accuracy and customer protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, tune, and maintain Intrusion Detection System rules based on observed network behavior
• Triage inbound detection requests and ensure end-to-end detection wiring
• Collaborate with researchers and support teams to enhance detection processes and coverage

Required Qualifications

• Experience reading and analyzing packet captures (pcaps)
• Familiarity with writing or maintaining network detection signatures
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and context-switch effectively
• Understanding of basic security concepts such as CVEs and detection trade-offs
• Comfort with operational execution and maintaining detection workflows
