Detection Engineering Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Detection Engineering Specialist (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of SIEM and SOAR solutions to meet security requirements
• Develop and implement advanced detection strategies to identify security threats and vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with security teams to integrate detection capabilities and optimize detection rules

Required Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security or related field preferred
• 5+ years of IT or Information Security experience, including 3+ years in SIEM Management or Detection Engineering
• Deep knowledge of security threat tactics, incident response methodologies, and detection techniques
• Extensive experience with detection technologies (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM)
• Familiarity with threat modeling frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK
