Developer Events Lead

Job Summary

Leading the strategy for developer engagement, the full-time Developer Events Lead will manage event planning and execution, budget oversight, and partnership development while working remotely to enhance Buildkite's presence in the developer community.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the events strategy, measuring success through ROI and community impact
• Build and maintain a scalable events program, including budgets, vendor relationships, and operational processes
• Deliver exceptional event experiences, managing flagship events from planning to post-event analysis

Required qualifications

• Experience in developing and leading an events, community, or field marketing strategy
• Proven ability to create scalable programs and repeatable systems
• Strong decision-making skills and comfort with ambiguity
• Ability to connect event success to business and community outcomes
• Established relationships within developer communities and technology event networks
