Development Associate

Job Summary

Supporting a dynamic fundraising operation, the temporary remote Development Associate or Senior Development Associate will manage data entry, prospect research, and grant report drafting while assisting with automated workflows for donor interactions through the 2026 election cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate gift-tracking and reporting processes, ensuring data integrity and grant agreement compliance
• Draft grant reports and prepare briefing materials for Principal call time through thorough prospect research
• Manage projects to enhance team effectiveness and run automations that streamline daily fundraising operations

Required qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a fundraising, development, or grants environment for Associate; 3+ years for Senior Associate
• Familiarity with CRM systems (EveryAction or similar) or a strong ability to learn new software quickly
• Experience using AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT for daily tasks
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple ad hoc requests and projects
• Interest in progressive politics, advocacy, or electoral work
