Development Associate, Prospect Research

Job Summary

To support major and principal gift cultivation, the full-time Development Associate, Prospect Research will identify, research, and analyze prospects for philanthropic investment while working remotely or in a hybrid capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research to identify potential donors and funding sources using various databases and resources
• Collect and analyze biographical and financial data to produce research documents that inform decision-making for fundraising efforts
• Execute prospect acquisition strategies and collaborate with development staff on special projects and portfolio assignments

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 to 3 years of direct fundraising or development experience preferred
• Experience with prospect research databases and data management
• Ability to synthesize high volumes of data and write concise reports
• Strong analytical skills and experience in interpreting biographic and financial information
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
