Development Consultant

Job Summary

To support nonprofit organizations, the part-time Development Consultant will manage client engagements, write compelling narratives for funding proposals, and identify funding opportunities while working remotely from anywhere in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Support the direction of one or two client engagements, providing project management across multiple deliverables
• Write narratives for letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports, collaborating with clients to understand their needs
• Identify funding opportunities through research and outreach, ensuring goals and expectations are met

Required qualifications

• At least three years of experience in institutional fundraising, grant writing, or related development functions
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in persuasive writing
• Proven success in a client-facing project or account management role
• Experience using standard office software/platforms (Excel, Drive, Notion, etc.)
• Demonstrated appreciation for the nonprofit sector
