Development Director

Job Summary

Leading fundraising initiatives, the full-time Development Director will manage donor relationships, plan special events, and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the mission of teaching children who are deaf or hard of hearing, working remotely from New York.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive traditional fundraising plan, cultivating individual, corporate, and foundation donors
• Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events, managing logistics and volunteer engagement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, community leaders, and corporate partners

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising or development, preferably in a nonprofit setting
• Demonstrated track record of meeting annual fundraising goals
• Experience organizing fundraising events and managing volunteers
• Proficiency in donor management software
