Job Summary
Leading pre-NTP development activities, the full-time salaried Development Manager, Solar Energy will manage due diligence for acquisitions, oversee project transitions to NTP, and support early-stage greenfield energy storage development, primarily in the Northeast and Midwest.
Key responsibilities
- Lead development due diligence across permitting, zoning, environmental, and land use
- Own NTP schedules, risk registers, and development budgets while driving permitting and land use approvals
- Maintain alignment with cross-functional teams, managing external consultants and local stakeholders efficiently
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related quantitative field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 6+ years of professional experience in renewable energy development with a focus on DG solar and/or energy storage
- Expertise in permitting, real estate, and NTP processes
- Strong knowledge of DG markets and community solar/state program rules
- Fluency in incentive compliance and familiarity with ITC pathways
