Development Strategist

Job Summary

To support a growing fundraising initiative, the fully remote Development Strategist will collaborate with leadership to manage foundation relationships, produce written materials, and drive prospect research while focusing on enhancing the organization's movement-driven fundraising model.

Key responsibilities

• Develop subject matter knowledge within assigned programs to enhance fundraising efforts
• Project manage grant stewardship and solicitations for major funders
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and test new fundraising strategies

Required qualifications

• Three years of professional experience, including at least one year in grant management for a non-profit
• Experience in writing or editing for philanthropic audiences
• Familiarity with foundation solicitation and cultivation methods
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Outlook, MS Office, and Salesforce
• Deep commitment to social justice and building power with low-income communities of color
