Developmental Psychology Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

Collaborating with academic leadership, the full-time Subject Matter Expert in Developmental Psychology will advise on course content, design engaging instructional materials, and develop applied assignments for an asynchronous undergraduate course focused on lifespan development, delivered entirely online.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on course scope and specific learning outcomes for PSYC 2050 Developmental Psychology
• Translate developmental psychology research into engaging, student-centered instructional materials
• Collaborate with academic leadership and learning designers in an iterative development process

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree in Psychology, Human Development, Developmental Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated expertise in lifespan development theory and research
• Strong understanding of the influence of social, cultural, ecological, and environmental factors on human development
• Ability to explain complex psychological concepts clearly for undergraduate learners
• Proficiency with standard computer applications and familiarity with modern productivity tools
