DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

To support a project with the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time remote DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency through automation and best practices.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement AWS cloud architecture focusing on scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery
• Provision and manage AWS resources using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
• Integrate cloud infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines and manage application deployments using containerization technologies

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Strong experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Solid understanding of AWS security principles and best practices for securing cloud environments
