DevOps Engineer
Job Summary
To support high availability and operational excellence, the full-time remote DevOps Engineer will become a subject matter expert for services, provide operational support for software deployments, and develop infrastructure automation tools.
Key responsibilities:
- Become the subject matter expert for a specific service, collaborating closely with the software team
- Provide operational support for software deployments and respond to production incidents
- Develop infrastructure automation tools to streamline processes and proactively address potential issues
Required qualifications:
- Strong background in Linux systems, including shell scripting and performance tuning
- Excellent understanding of Internet technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, etc.)
- Experience operating a large-scale, high-uptime environment
- Coding skills in Python, PHP, or another interpreted language like Perl or Ruby
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible and monitoring tools like Zabbix or New Relic
