DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the architecture and implementation of data platforms, the full-time remote DevOps Engineer will design and build ingestion systems, write and deploy data pipelines, and ensure governance and access control across various data sources.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture, including ingestion, lakehouse and warehouse layers, and delivery to reporting tools
• Build and deploy data pipelines, Spark and SQL transformations, and review team code
• Design lakehouse architectures on Databricks or Fabric, ensuring consistent governance and access control

Required qualifications

• Eight or more years in data engineering, with at least three years in architecture and design
• Deep hands-on experience with Databricks or Microsoft Fabric and strong Spark and SQL skills
• Experience with Delta Lake, medallion architecture, and lakehouse patterns in production
• Solid dimensional and semantic modeling skills, with knowledge of data governance practices
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and testing practices applied to data work
