DevOps Engineer III

Job Summary

To support critical federal projects, the remote DevOps Engineer III will manage application rollouts, optimize cloud resource costs, and validate data encryption controls while collaborating with stakeholders to enhance DevOps processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage blue/green and linear application rollouts with automated rollback for zero-downtime deployments
• Build and maintain cost-optimization scripts using AWS tools to manage resources effectively
• Support disaster recovery exercises and maintain accurate runbooks for deployment processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, and S3
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code provisioning
• Experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and/or Jenkins
• Strong knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration on AWS ECS/EKS
