Job Summary
Supporting critical government services, the full-time remote DevOps Engineer III will manage vulnerability notifications, remediate system vulnerabilities, and perform security assessments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Acknowledge and triage vulnerability notifications within specified SLA response tiers
- Remediate identified system vulnerabilities on a weekly release cadence, including documentation of fixes
- Perform security assessments and vulnerability scans using various tools, maintaining trusted base images and automating dependency updates
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch
- Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code provisioning and drift prevention
- Demonstrated experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and/or Jenkins
- Strong working knowledge of containerization using Docker and container orchestration on AWS ECS/EKS/Fargate
