DevOps Engineer III

Job Summary

Supporting the goal of meeting scope, schedule, and delivery requirements, the remote DevOps Engineer III will manage application rollouts, build cost-optimization scripts, and validate data encryption controls while driving improvements in DevOps processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage blue/green and linear application rollouts with automated rollback to ensure zero-downtime production deployments
• Build and maintain cost-optimization scripts using AWS Compute Optimizer and Cost Explorer to flag and clean up idle resources
• Support the observability/SRE lead during disaster recovery failover exercises and maintain runbook accuracy

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code provisioning and drift prevention
• Demonstrated experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and/or Jenkins
• Strong working knowledge of containerization using Docker and container orchestration on AWS ECS/EKS/Fargate
