DevOps Manager
Job Summary
Leading and growing a small platform engineering team, the fully remote DevOps Manager will spend half their time managing and coaching while focusing on architecture, automation, and production work to modernize the platform with security practices and release automation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a small engineering team while remaining hands-on in technical tasks
- Architect and implement modern automation and security practices for the platform
- Oversee the transition to a multi-tenant Kubernetes environment and ensure effective release automation
Required qualifications
- Experience running a large, multi-tenant Kubernetes environment in production
- Proven track record in managing and growing small engineering teams (4-6 people)
- Strong AWS architecture and cost-management experience
- Familiarity with GitOps/CI-CD and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Argo CD
- Background in regulated environments such as healthcare, government, or financial services
