DevSecOps and SRE Director

Job Summary

As the Contractor's senior technical authority for DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), the remote DevSecOps and SRE Director will manage cloud engineering, CI/CD automation, and platform reliability practices to support VA enterprise healthcare applications in a mission-critical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority for DevSecOps and SRE practices, establishing engineering standards and providing mentorship to engineering teams
• Oversee the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring secure and automated application delivery with integrated quality and compliance controls
• Lead initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance, defining metrics and driving improvements in operational efficiency across critical environments

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering practices
• Strong background in cloud engineering and familiarity with containerized environments, such as Kubernetes
• Expertise in CI/CD automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies
• Knowledge of Federal security requirements, including NIST and Zero Trust principles
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration within Agile and SAFe delivery frameworks
