DevSecOps Engineer

Job Summary

To support a leading organization in the government technology sector, the remote DevSecOps Engineer (Vulnerability Remediation) will lead vulnerability remediation efforts across AWS GovCloud environments, implement security controls in Kubernetes and Docker, and collaborate with development teams to enhance application security.

Key responsibilities

• Lead vulnerability remediation efforts across containerized and cloud-native environments, focusing on AWS GovCloud
• Implement and maintain security controls within Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker infrastructures
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and remediate application security vulnerabilities in React and NodeJS applications

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in DevSecOps, cloud security, or vulnerability remediation engineering
• Strong experience working within AWS GovCloud environments
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and container orchestration security
• Proficiency in JavaScript ecosystems, specifically React and NodeJS, with a focus on application security
• Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform
