DevSecOps Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines, the full-time remote DevSecOps Engineer will integrate automated testing and security scanning into workflows for a mission-critical Department of Veterans Affairs cloud platform.

Key responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and documents secure CI/CD pipelines aligned with approved design patterns
• Integrates automated unit, integration, regression, performance, and security testing into all build and release workflows
• Implements and maintains Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud resources and ensures vulnerabilities are identified and remediated within defined timelines

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Associate (preferred)
• 1 year of experience in DevSecOps engineering
• Excellent experience with secure CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes-based deployments and automated scaling in an Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) environment
