DevSecOps Engineer

Job Summary

Driving security initiatives in a full-time remote capacity, the DevSecOps Engineer will enhance AWS/EKS environments by identifying vulnerabilities, collaborating with DevOps teams, and implementing security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Drive software engineering security hygiene by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing durable fixes across the platform
• Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to embed security best practices into workflows without slowing down velocity
• Stay current on evolving cloud security threats and ensure the infrastructure remains ahead of emerging risks

Required qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes/EKS
• Solid foundation in security fundamentals, including vulnerability management and cloud security posture management
• Experience triaging and remediating security findings from vulnerability scanners or cloud security tools
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating security practices into the software development lifecycle
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform/OpenTofu
