Job Summary

To support a large federal program, the contract-based DevSecOps Engineer will remotely stand up, secure, and operate the AWS environment while also engaging in data engineering to prepare documents and structured data for AI workflows, working 35 hours per week with core hours from 10:00am to 4:00pm ET.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage the AWS environment that powers AI capabilities, ensuring security and operational integrity
  • Collaborate with program engineers to support cloud infrastructure and establish best practices for AI infrastructure on AWS
  • Develop data pipelines and prepare structured data necessary for AI workflows
Required qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering
  • Proven experience supporting AI or machine learning models on AWS, including data pipeline provisioning and deployment
  • Strong skills in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience building data pipelines using AWS services
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipeline development, and containerization technologies like Docker
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity and access management, and observability solutions
