Job Summary
To support the Department of Veterans Affairs Cybersecurity Operations Systems Engineering project, the full-time remote DevSecOps Engineer will design, implement, automate, secure, and maintain development and deployment processes, integrating cybersecurity throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize DevSecOps processes and CI/CD pipelines for secure software development and deployment
- Integrate security controls into development pipelines to ensure secure configuration and deployment of applications and infrastructure
- Automate security testing and compliance activities throughout the software development lifecycle
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of DevSecOps experience, with at least 5 years in Cybersecurity and Cloud Security at a large Government agency
- Expertise in DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-native environments
- Strong background in software development practices, code repositories (e.g., Git), and version control
- Experience in performing security assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response
- Proficiency in integrating security tools into DevOps pipelines and automating security testing and compliance
