DevSecOps Technical Director

Job Summary

Leading the secure delivery and reliability engineering of a mission-critical VA cloud platform, the full-time remote DevSecOps & SRE Technical Director will provide senior technical leadership for DevSecOps practices and automated delivery pipelines while ensuring compliance and security across the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee CI/CD pipeline architecture and ensure integration of automated security testing across all applications
• Lead SRE practices, including incident response, monitoring, and defining Service Level Indicators/Objectives (SLI/SLO)
• Govern the implementation of advanced deployment strategies and enforce IaC tooling for infrastructure management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field
• 8 years of experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering, and site reliability engineering
• Expertise in cloud-native architectures and containerized environments
• Proficient in designing and governing enterprise CI/CD pipeline architectures, particularly in Kubernetes environments
• Active Federal Civilian Public Trust clearance or eligibility for such clearance
