DHS Certified Web Tester

Job Summary

Evaluating and validating Section 508 compliance, the part-time Trusted Tester - Level I (Web Tester) will conduct accessibility assessments of web-based applications and digital products remotely while collaborating with development teams to ensure compliance with Revised Section 508 Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rigorous web accessibility evaluations and document technical non-conformance defects
• Utilize DHS approved assessment methods and test reporting tools to ensure digital assets meet compliance standards
• Collaborate with development and instructional design teams to deliver accessible and inclusive user experiences

Required qualifications

• Active DHS Trusted Tester Version 5.0 (or later) Certification required
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 2+ years of experience in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) environments
• 1+ year of dedicated Section 508 accessibility testing experience
• Solid working knowledge of Revised Section 508 Standards and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
